MIP MYPLACE AWARD 2023
Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) has received the Emerald Winner award through the MIP MyPlace Award 2023 Prize Presentation Ceremony organized by the Malaysia Institute of Planners (MIP) located at Hotel Le Mèridien, Petaling Jaya.
MIP MyPlace Award is a recognition of excellence in efforts to improve public spaces and areas that can bring positive impact to the community by local organizations or communities.
MBIP together with Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Community Grant Project Leader, PM Dr Norahim bin Ibrahim successfully won an award for Category 7 : Urban Farming with the "Best Organic Waste Recycling Habits at Jentayu" project".
This project has opened the eyes of more than 600 students regarding the importance of good solid waste management and its connection with pollution through a series of organic waste management workshops and low carbon awareness activities, and has produced more than 200 student educators.
