Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) through strategic collaboration involving Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor State Education Department (JPNJ), Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) and SWM Environment Sdn Bhd under the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon (IPRK) initiative has received awards at the national level. MIP Planning Excellence Award 2022 organized on 16 January 2023 at Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur has awarded MBIP with Bronze Winner under the Low Carbon Planning Award (City Category). Through the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon project - Build Agile Community and Sustainable Cities from Within . The IPRK was designed to translate the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Society Action Plan 2025 which was launched by the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) in 2015 in an effort to catalyze the community's attitude and role towards global carbon reduction efforts to face the crisis of climate change and global warming.
