MITIGATION-ADJUSTMENT BADGE AWARD
MBIP RECEIVED THE MITIGATION-ADJUSTMENT BADGE AWARD AT THE GCOM ASIA 2024 CLOSING WORKSHOP
MBIP is proud to participate in the GCoM Asia 2024 Closing Workshop and GCoM 2023 Badge Awarding Ceremony held on 12 - 13 June 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. MBIP is pleased to receive the Mitigation-Adaptation (Adaptation) Badge Award, recognizing MBIP's major achievements in measures to address the problem of climate change.
As one of the GCoM Signing cities in Southeast Asia, this award emphasizes MBIP's commitment to advancing climate action in three key areas: reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to climate change risks, and increasing access to clean and affordable energy. Mbip's progress has been recognized through a badge system shared with the global community.
The award was given and witnessed in front of representatives from the European Union, GCoM South Asia, GCoM Southeast Asia, and GCoM East Asia which includes more than 100 representatives from each city, such as mayors, and senior Government officials.
Together, MBIP will continue to make progress towards a greener and more sustainable future for Iskandar Puteri.
