The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) has received a special award from the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) for its efforts to promote the Sustainability Initiative (Sustainability) within its administrative area. "RISM Excellence Award 2022" has been pleased to award the "Outstanding Contribution Towards Sustainability Award" through the Skudai River Conservation Plan project to MBIP. This award is to recognize individuals, organizations or specific developments that are considered outstanding contributions towards environmental sustainability, efficient use of natural resources and able to meet the social needs and aspirations of present and future generations. Such awards are not presented every year.

This award was presented on 25 June 2022 at The Grand Ballroom, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center by the President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Dato' Sr Dr. Azhari Bin Mohamed.
