MBIP Receives the Special Achievement In GIS (SAG) Award 2022 In conjunction with the ESRI User Conference in San Diego, United States MBIP management has been using GIS technology in managing development data since 2003. Along with the rapid development and improvement of the type of services provided to the population, the quantity and quality of MBIP's geographic database data has evolved over time. Now, MBIP's geographic database that uses Enterprise GIS technology has archived 28 types of data under 5 main themes for the entire MBIP with an area of 402 square kilometers. Efforts to digitize services through the application of GIS technology in daily operations, open data for the community, dashboards that monitor the department's performance have received international recognition. MBIP is the first Local Authority in Malaysia to receive SAG from the President and Founder of ESRI Inc., Mr Jack Dangermond. MBIP is an organization selected from 300,000 organizations worldwide that use GIS technology. The conference was held from July 11 to 15, 2022 in San Diego, United States with the presence of 14,994 users from 142 countries physically and 16,596 online.
