SPECIAL APPRECIATION AWARD
Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) received a Special Appreciation Award at the Waste Management Achievement Award Ceremony by the Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) at Impiana Hotel Ipoh, Perak.
The appreciation that MBIP has received is for its active involvement in the field of environment, education and public awareness through the field of sustainable waste management under the offering of the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Community Grant (GKIPRK) and the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Calendar Competition as well as drive-thru recycling activities, Drive Then Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon.
Efforts to develop a low-carbon society under the Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Framework (IPRK) are together with strategic partners such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), SWM Environment Sdn Bhd and the Johor State Education Department (JPNJ).
In addition, three other Johor PBTs also received awards, namely Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB), Muar Municipal Council (MPM) & Kulai Municipal Council (MPKu).
