MBIP was awarded as a Sustainable City 2022 and crowned as one of the 10 Highest Level Livable cities in Malaysia. The 2022 Sustainable Award was presented by YAB Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Onn Hafiz Bin Ghazi after the State Planning Committee Meeting No. 3/2022 which took place on 13 December 2022. Despite the constraints during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2021, MBIP continues to commit together with agencies and communities involved in implementing various development activities and programs as planned and indirectly supporting 10 priorities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals / Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the global level.
