The Iskandar Puteri City Council in collaboration with the Town and Country Planning Department (PLANMalaysia) through the Smart City Satellite Unit of the South Zone Project Office (PPZS) as an advisor for the preparation of the Iskandar Puteri Smart City Action Plan 2030 (SCIP 2030) held a Focus Group Discussion Workshop session (FGD) with MBIP internal departments and external agencies. The objective of this workshop is to understand macro developments related to Smart Cities, review the current achievements and challenges of MBIP and agencies and develop strategic projects / programs of the Iskandar Puteri Smart City Plan 2030.

This FGD workshop also includes a briefing and explanation regarding the MBIP Smart City Agenda which was delivered by Puan Gs. Fitri binti Abd Rahman as Head of the Smart City Satellite Unit of the South Zone Project Office (PPZS) and Daersh Johor Bahru Infrastructure Profile - MBIP which was presented by Mr. Razaleigh bin Musa, Deputy Director of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, Johor State. A total of 60 participants have been involved in this FGD workshop.

It is hoped that this action plan will realize MBIP's Vision to become a smart, sustainable and prosperous city, and transform MBIP's administrative area into a more competitive and livable, and happier one.
