The MBIP Licensing Department has visited the Proposed Temporary Placement Tent for Hawkers Jalan Pulai Harmoni 3, Kangkar Pulai together with Kangkar Pulai Council Member, Mr. Muhamad Farkhan Bin Mohd Haron and the MBIP Departments involved. In addition, discussions and meetings were also held with hawkers around Jalan Harmoni 3, Kangkar Pulai. The purpose of the meeting is to provide further information on the proposed date of relocation of hawkers, the arrangement of settlement tents, waste management and needs that will first be assisted by MBIP as well as Councilors and related agencies. In addition, the Engineering Department has given information regarding the proposed Work to Build Pedestrian Paths to upgrade facilities and new hawker sites to beautify the landscape in the area. This visit and meeting has received a good response from both parties, and has agreed the transfer date from May 13 to May 21, 2024 to the temporary Tent placement.

The visit was attended by the Director of the Licensing Department, representatives of the MBIP departments involved as well as the Iskandar Puteri Member of Parliament. A total of 47 hawkers attended the meeting and gave their feedback and views to be refined for further action by MBIP.
