CHEMICAL OPERATOR HEALTH EXAMINATION SESSION BY OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH DOCTOR (OHD)
MS ISO 45001:2018 is an Occupational Health and Safety Management System that focuses on the health care and safety of MBIP staff. This management system includes rules, policies, processes, plans and ways to control or prevent hazards in guaranteeing the health and safety of employees.
This Chemical Handler Health Examination Session by the Occupational Health Doctor (OHD) is one of the processes towards the certification of the ISO 45001:2018 standard. This program will be carried out routinely every year based on the type of work done by the staff that is related to the use of chemicals.
Based on the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (Use and Exposure Standards of Chemicals Hazardous to Health 2000), 'Medical Surveillance' needs to be carried out by OHD to employees involved in the handling of chemicals.
Among the staff involved in this inspection are the staff of the Public Health Department (Vector Control Unit) as the main recommendation in the Iskandar Puteri City Council's Health Risk Assessment Report (CHRA).
