BRIEF WALKING VISIT WITH YAB MENTERI BESAR OF JOHOR IN KAMPUNG SUNGAI MELAYU
In conjunction with the Year of Visiting Johor 2026, the Iskandar Puteri City Council is actively implementing various initiatives that are catalysts and drivers for the development of the tourism industry. There are 5 projects that will be implemented and are expected to be completed by the end of 2025 as follows :
1. Salam Gate Project
2. Leluri Stop
3. Sungai Melayu Public Jetty
4. Fisherman's Jetty
5. Titian perepat and Tanjung Tok Fattah
The visit to Kampung Sungai Melayu by the Honorable Dato’ Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor was also joined by the Honorable Tuan Raven Kumar a/l Krishnasamy, Chairman of the Johor State Unity, Heritage and Culture Committee, the Honorable Dato Haji Mohd Jafni bin Md Shukor, Chairman of the Johor State Housing and Local Government Committee, Honorable Ling Tian Soon, Chairman of the Johor State Health and Environment Committee, The Honorable Datuk Haji Pandak bin Ahmad, Kota Iskandar Assemblyman and the Honorable Dato' Haji Mohd Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of Iskandar Puteri City Council.
Also present with relevant government agencies as well as strategic tourism partners
