ISKANDAR PUTERI LOW CARBON 4.0 COMMUNITY GRANT EVALUATION WORKSHOP
26-27 May 2024 | Sunday - Monday
Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) together with strategic partners from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor State Education Department (JPNJ), Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), and SWM Environment Sdn Bhd organized the Iskandar Puteri Community Grant Evaluation Workshop Low Carbon 4.0 with 35 MBIP staff on 26 and 27 May 2024 located at KSL Hotel & Resort, Johor Bahru.
The opening of this grant has motivated the residents of Iskandar Puteri in cultivating a low-carbon lifestyle such as saving water and electricity, empowering a waste-free lifestyle, practicing self-farming as well as various appropriate low-carbon efforts. Through the grants allocated for the community in the MBIP area, this allows the community to carry out programs or projects that can improve the quality of life, additional sources of income, preserve the environment, reduce carbon emissions and make the surrounding community prosperous
The two-day workshop involved MBIP staff and MBIP's strategic partners (IRDA, UTM, JPNJ & SWM) in determining and selecting applications for the next judging session. Applications are divided into five main categories namely Green and Smart Infrastructure, Sustainable Waste Management, Agriculture and Food Security, Environmental Conservation and Conservation and Safe Neighborhood. A total of 87 applications have been sent to apply for the grant.
