The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) has organized the Clean Johor Program at the Skudai River Range, Taman Impian Emas due to the call of YAB Menteri Besar of Johor to foster public awareness of the importance of cleanliness and the spirit of love for nature in the State of Johor.

The Honorable Tuan Ling Tian Soon, Johor State Health and Environment EXCO, the Honorable Puan Marina Binti Ibrahim, Skudai Assemblyman, Tuan Syahrir Azrin bin Salleh, Deputy Director of Forestry (Development), MBIP Council Members, MBIP Secretary and Deputy Secretary as well as Director² and MBIP staff were present to make this program a success which also involved collaboration with the Johor State Forestry Department, Johor State Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS), Department of Environment (DOE), Johor Water Company (SAJ), SWCorp, developer SP Setia Berhad and other stakeholders in taking care of the environment including the local community.

Apart from garbage cleaning activities around the area, the Johor Bersih @ Sungai Skudai program also involves planting 200 shade trees, throwing Effective Microorganisms (EM) Mudball into Sungai Skudai, repairing waqf structures and handrails, as well as driving through recycling.

This environmental program is in line with one of the initiatives in the Iskandar Puteri City Council's strategic plan by organizing a program that fosters a low-carbon, sustainable and green way of life.
