SECOND DAY OF GUCI SEMINAR 2024: PREPARING MBIP TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE CITY
The inaugural GUCI 2024 seminar was full of inspiration and collaboration. Featuring sessions such as the Sustainable Development Seminar, the Low Carbon Community Forum, and the GUCI Lecture, this event brings together experts from various organizations, including the Johor Sustainable Center (JSC), Sunway Group, UTM and MBIP.
In addition, the participants were also given the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge through the SDG Intensive Workshop with Urbanice Malaysia and the ESG Practice Workshop that helps agencies and SMEs implement ESG and SDG initiatives in their organizations!
The closing ceremony of the seminar also witnessed the presentation of the GUCI Award which appreciates the efforts of stakeholders in sustainable development as well as the exchange of important MoUs in collaboration with UTM, JPNJ, IRDA, Sunway Property and others to strengthen the Low Carbon City initiative in Iskandar Puteri.
Congratulations also to the 23 recipients of the IPRK 4.0 Community Grant worth RM500,000 who have successfully implemented more than 94 low carbon projects. Iskandar Malaysia was also celebrated for its success in the WWF One Planet City Challenge (OPCC)
