The Honorable Dato’ Haji Mohd Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of Iskandar Puteri City Council together with the Honorable Puan Marina binti Ibrahim, Skudai Assemblyman; Ir. Ts. Abdul Razak bin Abdul Aziz, Johor Bahru District DPS Engineer, SWcorp, Safwa Global and the telab officers made a visit to identify the cause of the flash flood in Jalan Zapin, Taman Skudai; Jalan Baung, Kg Baru Skudai; and Kg Poh Chee Leng.

The results of this flash flood impact survey will identify and find the cause and see the status of previously planned action proposals. Among the new proposals is the suitability of ‘on-site detention (OSD) pond’ and upgrading the main ditch in the area.

Next, a visit was made to the location of the main ditch wall that collapsed on Jalan Persiaran Impian Emas, Taman Impian Emas which happened yesterday afternoon where early preventive measures were taken such as road closures, warning signs and canvas covers were installed.

Repair works will be carried out in the near future for the safety of residents and road users.
