His Excellency Dato' Onn Hafiz Bin Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor officiated and also ran together in the Malaysian Hotel Association (MAH) Johor Branch Run 2024 which was also the closing of the Johor MAH Sports Championship. Almost 800 hotel workers attended as run participants from the 39 hotels in Johor that participated.

Also present were the Honorable Tuan Raven Kumar Krishnasamy, Chairman of the Johor State Unity, Heritage and Culture Committee; The Honorable Tuan Ling Tian Soon, Chairman of the Health and Environment Committee; The Honorable Dato' Haji Mohd Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP); The Blessed Tuan Haji Ahmad Nazir bin Haji Mohd Nasir, Johor Bahru District Officer; Mr. Sharil Nizam bin Abdul Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor; Mr. CS. Lim, MAH Vice President; and Mr. Ivan Teo, Chairman of MAH Johor Branch.

This program also aims to encourage entrepreneurs and hospitality workers to venture into the field of sports in line with the efforts of the Johor state government which is committed to positioning the state of Johor as a leading sports tourism at the international level while also supporting the Year of Visiting Johor 2026 program.
