Grand Paragon Hotel, Johor Bahru

The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) which has been appointed as the leader of Johor Bersih at the Johor State Local Authority (PBT) level has held a Johor Bersih Coordination Workshop at the Johor State PBT at the Grand Paragon Hotel, Johor Bahru, which was attended by a total of 46 participants, as well as attended by Miss Nur Amiza Ezrin Aminudin, Environmental Health Officer from the Johor Government Secretary's Office (SUK), Mbip Councilors Mr. Fakhrul Zafran ABSL Kamarul Azman and Mrs. Chuah Lee Hui, various PBTs namely MBJB, MBPG, MPKu, MPP and MPPn, King's Works Department, Irrigation and Drainage Department, SWCorp, Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) and concessionaires.

The main focus of this workshop is to make cleanliness at the best level, especially in the Johor Singapore Special Economic Zone (JSSEZ) area and involves several elements such as Cleaning and Maintenance of Drains, Drains and Rivers, Use of Oil Traps in Food Preparation Premises, Grass Cutting, Landscape Beautification, Road Upgrading, Solid Waste Management, Lighting System and Back Lane Transformation, Security Aspects in the City Center include Smoke Free Zones and others.

This workshop also takes into account and harmonizes the Action Plan in the Clean Johor Strategy (PBT) 2025-2030 issued by SWCorp and the Strategic Plan developed by each PBT.

It is hoped that the content produced in this workshop will realize the Clean Johor Direction in making the State of Johor a State that has a sustainable level of cleanliness on par with developed countries.
