The Iskandar Puteri City Council's Community Development Department (MBIP) has organized the 2024 MBIP Community Seminar themed Shared Responsibility Community Safety, one of the initiatives under Local Agenda 21, with the aim of increasing community awareness and involvement in ensuring the safety of a harmonious environment.

This seminar was attended by YM Ungku Ahmad bin Ungku Haji Mohd Zakaria, Director of Community Development, together with MBIP Councilors, representatives from IPD Johor Bahru Utara, Johor Bahru District Unity Office, Johor Bahru District Education Office and the Zone/Park Residents Committee.

The seminar started with a talk titled Protector or Shield by Tuan Haji Helmy bin Haji Mohammad Yahya, Deputy Unity Officer of Johor Bahru District, which covered the role of the community in creating a responsible and harmonious neighborhood. Next, Tuan Haji Emrizal bin Abdul Rahman, Director of MBIP's Integrity Department, shared about the MBIP Employee Misconduct Complaint Channel as an initiative to ensure a work culture with integrity.

The seminar continued with a talk on Community Awareness in Scammer Fraud by ASP Sandrawati binti Abd Latip from IPD Johor Bahru Utara, which provided guidance to the community to deal with the threat of scammer fraud.

This filling can not only be beneficial, but also able to open the minds of the community about their important role in maintaining the safety and integrity of the community.
