Landscape Department
Background
Landscape Department started functioning in May 2000 with 35 staffs, and gradually increased to 92 as of now.
This department is responsible for landscape development and beautification works, landscape plan applications and landscape / tree maintenance services. This department has a total of 92 employees from 2001 until now and is placed under 3 separate divisions as listed below and in the organization chart.

Objective
- Coordinate and monitor the management of public complaints.
- Planning and managing landscape maintenance, garden facilities, landscape development project management and beautification.
Function
Planning, Landscape Control & Enforcement Division
1. Landscape Plan Application Management- Enforcing Acts, Parks, Landscape Guidelines.
- Department level OSC Secretariat. Attending Pre-Meeting and OSC Committee
- Processing Landscape Development Plans
- Reviewing the CCC support application by the developer
- Invasion and gazetting of open spaces. Updating data and information on gazetting and invasion of open spaces
- Review and prepare departmental level Landscape policies
2. GIS Unit
- Updating information and inventory data of shade trees, playgrounds and open spaces
- Updating the developer's Landscape development committee and regulating maintenance from the developer
- Gis application secretariat at the departmental level
- Osc 3 Plus online system secretariat.
- Updating data on the publication of shade trees and open spaces
3. Planning and Recovery
- Planning physical development and organizational structure at the departmental level.
- Promote the Landscape industry and Landscape culture to the community.
- Planning and managing sensitive areas for preservation and conservation purposes.
- Tree Planting Campaign
- Formulate and implement Landscape policies and research
- Landscape Master Plan
- Community garden secretariat at the departmental level
Division of Horticulture, Maintenance & Management of Public Parks
1. Public Complaints Secretariat- Ensure department level complaint management and update the complaint system.
2. Park Management
- Manage, Plan, Maintain Regional Parks, Urban Forests and large-scale open spaces.
- Plan and carry out annual activities and events for current recreational activities at the community, state and national levels.
- Manage nursery development
- Get involved in the community
- Urban Forest rental application management
3. Landscape and tree amenity maintenance
- Maintain Landscape, cleaning and management of live assets on protocol streets, community sites and Surrender Areas from developers.
- Maintain the main trees under the supervision of MBIP efficiently and controlled for clear and correct purposes and methods.
4. Manage, supervise and monitor the Cutting Unit and Nursery
- Lead in managing the development of workshops and nurseries, managing subordinate staff including PPE and machinery requirements, planning the development and management of nurseries, as well as managing tree landfills.
- Plan and draft annual budgets and budgets for park maintenance and management programs
- Decorative order application management
Design, Development & Upgrading Division
1. Public Park Development Project, community site and playground- Plan, design and implement Landscape development projects and upgrade and rehabilitate public parks, community sites and children's playgrounds.
2. MBIP Urban Forest Development, Mutiara Rini
- Manage procurement and project implementation
3. Beautification Development Project/ Beautification Program
- Plan, design and implement beautification projects for protocol roads and the entire MBIP Area
- Ensure the implementation of landscape beautification and development policies and programs that have been outlined in the Landscape Master Plan.
- Planning, drafting budgets for landscape beautification programs and the development of public parks and children's playgrounds.
- Planning and implementing landscape development and beautification designs.
- Landscape Competition (Decorated Boat, Royal Floria, Orchid Exhibition)
4. Manage, supervise and monitor the Playground Unit
- Lead in managing the development of workshops and stores, managing subordinate staff including PPE and machinery requirements, planning the development and management of Workshops and Stores.
- Plan and draft annual budgets and budgets for playground maintenance programs and landscape competitions
Bahagian Pengurusan Kontrak Landskap
1. Procurement Secretariat and Landscape Department Level Development Committee Meeting- Prepare and coordinate cost planning for MBIP Landscape Department projects according to established procedures
- Coordinate and manage Procurement contract documents for the MBIP Landscape Department
- Manage and Implement Contract Administration for the control of the Landscape Department's work contract.
- Preparation of development meeting papers for the Landscape Department
- Manage and plan the annual expenses of the landscape department
