Valuation & Property Management Department
Background
Valuation & Property Management Department has a total of 103 staff members. Led by a Valuation Officer Pegawai Penilaian as the Director and assisted by 4 other Valuation Officers. The department is divided into 9 units, namely the Valuation Unit, Valuation Listing Unit, Land Development Unit, Property Tax Unit, Administration Unit, Rental Unit, Safety Unit, Building Facility Management Unit and Maintenance Unit.

There are 32 staffs in the Valuation Unit, Valuation Listing Unit. For the Valuation Unit, the work carried out is managing evaluation amendments to the evaluation list, general re-evaluation and managing evaluation objection cases. Meanwhile, in the Valuation Listing Unit, the work carried out is the management of contribution evaluation to help rates, remission applications and also the management of Form I/J transfer of ownership applications for name changes. Next, Land Development Unit and Property Tax Unit that have a total of 12 staffs, while In the Administration Unit, there are a total of 11 staffs who are involved in administrative work.

In the Rental Unit, there are 14 staff who carry out works is related to rental management such as the rental of stalls/ markets/ offices/ workshops/ arcades/ shops/ fields/ council halls, collection of rental arrears and managing privatization matters for the council’s properties. For the Safety Unit, there are a total of 7 staffs who carry out works such as the security management of council’s properties. In addition to that, the Building Facility Management Unit that has 4 staffs who carry out facility management and insurance of the council’s buildings as well as monitoring/complying with building maintenance performance standards. In the Maintenance Unit, a total of 23 staff carry out maintenance work on the Council’s properties and manage the cleanliness of the Council’s buildings.

In the Administration Unit, the work carried out is administrative affairs, financial affairs, human resources and the management of the department's quality system.
