Buildings Department
Background
Buildings Department is one of the departments contained in the organizational structure of the Iskandar Puteri City Council. The internal organizational structure of the Building Department is supported by 2 main divisions, namely the Building Plan Division which consists of the Housing Development Unit and the Single Development Unit and the second division is the Building Control Division which consists of the Additional Renovation Unit, the Temporary Critics Unit and the Enforcement Unit. Each of these units will work together to realize that each function in the department can be implemented according to the activities of the department more effectively.
Buildings Department functions as controlling, processing approvals and monitoring development within the administrative area especially of the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) in order to be in line with the requirements of the provisions of the Roads, Drains and Buildings Act 1974 (Act 133), Uniform Building Bylaws 1986, Planning Standards Manual and Council Policies.

It is also aligned with the vision of the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) which is “Smart, Sustainable and Prosperous City” . The Development Planning Control Policy, enforcement and monitoring of the Building Department will have an impact on the comfort of the environment to be more planned, orderly and harmonious as well as quality within the administrative area of the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP).
