By 2026, MBIP plans to become a SMART, SUSTAINABLE AND PROSPEROUS CITY with the mission to “lead the development and services of the city holistically in the administrative area to support the needs of the community to thrive”. In order to realize this wish, MBIP has outlined five (5) Core Strategies and 17 Strategic Objectives in the MBIP Strategic Plan 2022 -2026
The administrative area of the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) is the fastest growing area among the five (5) economic corridors that have been launched by the Federal Government since 2010.
Every component of development has been carefully planned to ensure that the vision to develop a smart, sustainable and prosperous city can be achieved. The development of MBIP does not only focus on physical development but also emphasizes the aspect of social development to build a safe, prosperous and quality life.
In addition, MBIP has also implemented various initiatives to create a low-carbon city that is geared towards holistic, integrated and sustainable planning through teaching, learning, research, publication, consultation and public awareness as well as community development services in line with the National Green Technology Policy and the government's aspiration .
